	The Jahia Community Edition is FREE and available under an Open Source license (a modified version of the open source CDDL license: the Jahia Common Development and Distribution License (JCCDL).
	Jahia Commercial Editions are available under: the Jahia Sustainable Software License  (JSSL - contribute or pay paradigm).

 In all the cases, anyone at any time can freely access to the full source code of any Jahia Editions ( full source code available here).

Jahia Commercial Editions Licenses are not free of charge. You can download and install them without paying any royalties for your test or development purposes. You can also redistribute them to any third parties for R&D use.

But if you want to use them on a production server, you will still have to pay a license fee in cash or in kind by financing new product evolutions (contribute or pay paradigm) accoring to the Jahia Sustainable Software License concept.

The “Contribute or Pay” paradigm is a stable and well-balanced software development and business model for all actors, leveraging open source contribution model and best practices, but adapting to the actual need of business application architecture development with a software editor approach:

The best of both worlds.

In order to enforce a strong quid-pro-quo paradigm within the Jahia community, active contributors are encouraged with discounts or even license suppression according to their contributions to the project while "passive users" (free-riders) pay license fees. All contributors can then be rewarded for their work. This is why we called this commercial license with source "sustainable".
