Business Model

A unique, stable and clear business model for
the last 6 years:

• The exploitation of the Jahia software is managed by Jahia Solutions Group. This company offers an open source version of the Jahia Software (Jahia community Edition) and some Commercial Editions. The full source code of any Commercial Edition is also available at no charge and to anyone but for tests, research and development purposes only. 

• Customers pay a license fee for internal deployment (intranet) or other commercial use. However in order to incentivize active contributors within the community and reward initiatives, we accepts payments in cash or in kind (payment done through additional code contributions financing) as described in our Sustainable Software License.

• We support a strong network of official system integrators. These integrators are authorized to resell the Jahia software and usually provide a range of additional integration services (complete project deployment; customization; integration services...) with our second level support.

This strong and sustainable business model allows
Jahia to:

1. Provide a full and complete access to the source code for all open source or commercial editions, yet maintain some direct revenue streams which can be allocated on software maintenance and enhancements tasks.
2.  Promote an active developers or sponsors ecosystem that finance their license fees in kind. Traditional users pay a standard license fee in cash.
3. Deliver the right level of software support to a network of worldwide customers and partners.
