How to use Jahia?

This section provides you with an overview on the vision behind Jahia
It is focused on the main usual roles addressed by such systems and should help you start by the basics and better understand who can do what. A quick how-to introduction chapter will rapidly introduce the key edition paradigms for the ones which directly want to get their hands in the application.

 

Introduction to Jahia: In this chapter, we will describe an overview of Jahia v6, its key underlying paradigm and detailed the various user roles.

Jahia Community Edition: What is Jahia?

Jahia Walkthrough: This part will explain the basic Jahia functions. You will learn how to use Jahia v6 to create a simple website.


Jahia for Administrators: Jahia comes with a web based back-end administration system that helps site administrators, server administrators or even power users manage various websites. This system is called the “Administration Center” (or Admin Center) in Jahia

Jahia for Readers: This chapter will go through all the features available for an anonymous user or for a logged user but only with “read” access rights.

Jahia for Authors and Translators: This chapter is the most important and will detail how to create and manage your content and your sites.

Jahia for Reviewers and Publishers: This chapter will focus on the features available to Reviewers and Publishers in order to validate or moderate content.

Jahia for Content Managers / Content Owners: Content Managers have access to additional features. They are able to modify permissions rights or to setup a new workflow. We will go through such advanced content management interfaces.
